South Indian Wedding Photographer in Bangalore

A Tamil Nadu studio working in Bangalore — so nobody has to explain the ceremony to the photographer while it is happening.

There is a moment at most South Indian weddings in Bangalore where the photographer misses something because they did not know it was coming. The exact second of the thaali. The nalangu, which looks like chaos and is actually the warmest half hour of the day. Kaasi yathirai, which is over before an unprepared crew has moved.

We are a Coimbatore studio. We have photographed these ceremonies for more than two decades — Kongu, Chettinad, Brahmin, Telugu Vysya, Tamil Christian — and we shoot them in Bangalore the same way we shoot them at home, which is to say we are already standing in the right place.

That is the whole pitch. Not that we are more artistic than the excellent Bangalore studios you are also considering — but that we will not need the ceremony explained to us, and your grandmother will not have to repeat herself.

What you get

What is included

01

Muhurtham, properly

Covered from both sides, with the crew placed before it starts.

02

Kaasi yathirai & oonjal

Anticipated rather than chased.

03

Nalangu

The best candid half hour of a South Indian wedding. We plan for it.

04

Family rows, done right

The formal frames your parents will actually print.

05

Tamil-speaking crew

Nobody on the family side has to switch languages for us.

06

Reception at scale

Full lighting for the Bangalore hall sizes.

The specific question

Choosing a South Indian wedding photographer in Bangalore

If you are a Tamil, Telugu or Kannada family getting married in Bangalore, your shortlist question is narrower than the general one. It is not who takes the prettiest photographs — it is who will not need the ceremony explained to them at six in the morning.

01

Ask which South Indian ceremonies they have shot

Not “Indian weddings”. Specifically: muhurtham, kaasi yathirai, oonjal, nalangu. The answer tells you immediately whether they will be in position.

02

Check the language on the family side

Your grandmother should not have to switch languages to be photographed well. Our crew speaks Tamil.

03

Look at their nalangu frames

It is the loosest, warmest half hour of a South Indian wedding and the hardest to shoot well. It is also the fastest way to judge a photographer's instincts.

04

Ask about the early start

Muhurthams often begin before dawn. A studio that treats that as an inconvenience will photograph it like one.

05

Confirm they will travel properly

A studio coming from outside Bangalore should arrive the night before, not the morning of. We do, and travel is quoted at cost.

06

See a full South Indian wedding set

Ours are published in full — six complete galleries on the stories pages, plus thirty films including Telugu, Tamil and Christian ceremonies.

Before you ask

Straight answers

Do you cover Tamil weddings in Bangalore?

Regularly. We are a Tamil Nadu studio and a large part of our Bangalore work is Tamil families who have settled there. The crew speaks Tamil.

What about Telugu and Kannada ceremonies?

Both. Our Telugu Vysya wedding film for Dr. Tarun and Rathna is on this page. The rituals differ but the principle does not — know the order, be in position early.

Which rituals do you cover?

All of them, in sequence: nichayathartham, mehendi, kaasi yathirai, oonjal, muhurtham, thaali, nalangu and the reception. We shoot the full day rather than a highlight list.

Do you shoot Christian and Muslim South Indian weddings?

Yes. Our Bangalore film for Leo Stany and Antoinette is a Christian ceremony and is embedded on this page.

Is a Coimbatore studio more expensive for a Bangalore wedding?

Travel and stay are quoted at cost and never marked up, so the difference is smaller than people expect — and we do not bill by the hour, which is where most wedding quotes actually inflate.

Great work by my brothers Prasanna and Vinod. Maximum dedication towards work. Never imagined I would get such a great output. Never seen a single hesitation whenever I ask for some reels or videos or photos. The best album I have ever seen, and the page quality is awesome.

If you are looking for an elegant and exquisite style of photography, Studio Vaibhava is the best option. They maintain such an amiable relationship throughout the journey. I personally admire their nature — they look after us and make us comfortable in every photo.

The pre-wedding video and the photos are too good. The album photos are like HD quality. I have known you for eight years, since my sister’s wedding. From that day to this you have successfully covered my friends’ weddings too. You update yourselves regularly, which is too good. I highly recommend your photography to anyone.
